Hitachi Vantara Expands Thailand Team with Appointment of Thanavut Changtrakul as Head of Sales

Hitachi Vantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), announced the appointment of Thanavut Changtrakul as the head of sales for Thailand. Thanavut is responsible for building and executing the cohesive sales strategy and expanding the sales capability for Hitachi Vantara's existing and new offerings portfolio in Thailand.

Thanavut brings with him more than 17 years of experience in sales and channel management in the IT industry. He has vast experience in building new data centers, deploying new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business solutions and e-Learning projects in Thailand. Thanavut is a proven team leader with extensive experience in building successful indirect-channel and strategic-alliance programs that accelerate revenue growth. He also has an in-depth knowledge of emerging markets such as Myanmar, Cambodia and Lao. Prior to joining Hitachi Vantara, he held a variety of management positions with IBM, Sun Microsystems, and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.

Thanavut has hands-on market experience as a former member of Hitachi Vantara's partner & alliance director for Thailand and Myanmar where he led the channel business and operations function for almost three years. He will report to Wee Kai Teck who continues to serve as the managing director for Thailand and Malaysia.
