Oriental Cuisine inspired by the Responsible Gourmand Chef Nanang & his brigade at Restaurant Nimitr on Sukhumvit Soi 39

As you ascend to level 27 of the uberluxe 137 Pillars Suites & Residences you are magically transported into a space in a "Special Dream" or in the Thai sense and meaning – NIMITR.

In this space of high ceilings, mosaic hues of heavenly blue, the antique wooden double doors, and music to inspire the senses with awe inspiring vistas of the modern Bangkok skyline you are truly in the realm of the 'Special Dream'. In this haven Chef Nanang and his team have studiously and with great taste created Oriental temptations combining sustainable produce from the immediate region.

Chef Nanang Prasetya combines his dishes and has curated regional favourites such as Chilli Crab, Lamb Rendang, Szechuan Rock Lobster, Beef Massaman, Lamb Tandoori, Scallops and Abalone Sashimi, Teriyaki Pork Belly and a plethora of traditional favourites to tempt every palate for every occasion.

Chef Nanang is quoted as follows:

"Being from Indonesia, yet having also worked in some of the best hotels in the South East Asian region, I wanted to introduce spices and herbs into the menu, to give more life and soul to traditional Oriental favourites, celebrating what makes this part of the world great. The inspiration was to insure dishes that are loved and coveted by local residents as well as cosmopolitan audience from across the globe. As they combine such great flavours they make these favourites more delicious than ever!! We look forward to welcoming our guests, both old and new, I am sure they will love these changes and make Nimitr their favourite Oriental eatery in Bangkok."

The menu plays an important part in supporting Thailand's sustainable ambitions with home grown produce sourced in the near region – an initiative that will only grow as we increase our efforts to bring produce from farm to table. Our responsible gourmands under the guidance of Chef Nanang are hoping to expand this further:

"We already buy our chickens, eggs, and a lot of other hand selected produce from local, sustainable farmers, and as we move forward we will be increasing this to cover most of our menu. In Thailand today, there are a rapidly growing number of small sustainable farmers who are producing the highest quality, and quantity of produce for the tables of Nimitr. At 137 Pillars Hotels & Resorts we are committed to maximizing the use of sustainable products to produce healthy options with great taste focusing on Oriental favourites. In each and every way this will be a practice for the long term and for the benefit for our distinguished guests." Chef Nanang added.
