On Friday 13th July, Resident Manager Ms.Patcharee Phetpiroon, and the management team from Pathumwan Princess Hotel visited the Santisuk Foundation Klong-Toey and donated 300 pineapples as a lunchtime treat for the children. Santisuk Foundation provides care to 1,100 poor and needy children living in the slum communities in and around Bangkok. It aims to give hope and encouragement to these children through funding education and providing nutritious food at lunchtimes.

This was part of a wide-ranging "Support Thai Farmers Young-Yim-Dai" initiative in partnership with Thanachart Bank and MBK Center to support pineapple farmers who have suffered from a catastrophic fall in the price of the fruit. The partnership purchased over 10,000 pineapples (16,000 kg.) from Lampang farmers and, later in the day, distributed them free, along with pineapple drinks, pineapple ice-cream and pineapple fruit salad, at the MBK Skywalk, 2nd floor MBK Center.
