CPF officially launched “Culineur” school Creating new generation of culinary professionals and innovative entrepreneurs.

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited or CPF officially opened "Culineur," the school of Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship to offer classes to teach people who are interested in culinary arts or those who want to manage a culinary business.

Mr. Sukhawat Dansermsuk,CPF's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for food business and co-president said the establishment of Culineur come from Charoen Pokphand Group Senior President, Mr.Thanin Chearavanont. It is the first school in Thailand that offers innovative learning processes equipped with modern tools such as smart boards, tablets and e-books which help increase learners efficiency and employing learner-centered education method. CPF commits to establish a leading culinary arts school in the Asian region in order to create a new generation of the culinary professionals and innovators who lead the way to the kitchens of tomorrow.

Students who learn at Culineur School have to understand all ranges of business management starting from material selection, cost management, marketing and human resources. Culineur is not just a cooking school but an institute to build skillful chefs who have capability of culinary management.

Mr.Antony Osborne, the Managing Director of Culineur School said that the School's curriculum is developed in collaboration with Lausanne Hospitality Consulting (LHC), educational unit of Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL), the world's oldest hotel training institute from Switzerland. The schools has highly skilled instructors with the techniques to transfer to learners through an active learning environment which helps stimulate the students and allows them to build their creativity and entrepreneurial skills.

This school is taught in English and it is a 2-year full-time curriculum which will comprise basic kitchen works, cooking foods and beverage, safety standard, human resources management and culinary business.

Culineur also offers short courses which are taught in Thai language for people who wants to enhance their capability in Thai menus, Western menus, desserts, food designer and basic culinary business management. The short courses are designed to response the current market and future trends.
