Yesterday saw the first fixture of the season for the senior girls' basketball team. All of the girls were very nervous, especially as they haven't had very long practicing with one another. The early nerves led to a few mistakes being made from both sides, however they kept a strong and tight defense and after the first quarter Regent's International School Bangkok were in the lead 8-1. Dorji (Captain) was amazing at keeping the girls calm and collected on court. The start of the second quarter saw the girls come out on court flying, some amazing layups from Sylvia who was strong at attacking the basket and some great steals from Lhaki who was constantly hunting for the ball.

By the third quarter Regent's International School Bangkok started to look like they owned the court. Their tight zone defense made it difficult for St Andrews to work the ball in. Lisa, on numerous occasions was able to get an early steal at the half way line and fast break at the basket where she scored numerous times. The end of the game saw Regents taking the win 37-5, a brilliant first result! Congratulations to all of the senior team, we are so proud of you all.
