“WEEKLY WiSE Magazine” is hosting SAKURA MATSURI , the biggest ever Sakura Festival in Thailand delivering the original taste of food and culture imported directly from Japan.

RyDEEN Co., Ltd.; the publisher of the number one free weekly Japanese magazine "WEEKLY WiSE", in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Aeon Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd to set up "SAKURA MATSURI". The biggest Sakura Festival, in Thailand, will be exhibited at the center of The Emquartier; together with rare and unseen products, food, and culture imported directly from Japan. The fest will be held during 26-28th April 2019.

Mr. Yoshiki Nishioka: CEO of RyDEEN Co., Ltd. (the publisher of "WEEKLY WiSE"), announced that Japan is considered a tourist destination from all around the world. According to the increasing number of tourist visiting Japan; yearly, 2018 – It is reported to break the record at 31.19 million people, 8.7% higher than the previous year. The number of tourists visiting Japan has been increasing, continuously, for seven years. Thai travelers are ranked as one of the highest tourist groups. There were up to 1.13 million tourists from Thailand, in 2018, which are 14.7% higher compared to the previous year. Japanese restaurants and brand name products, also, received high popularity from Thai people. Meanwhile, Bangkok is ranked as the number one city; in the world, where Japanese people inhabit for the purpose of long-term occupation or dwelling according to the statistics provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, in October – 2017.

The festival "Sakura Matsuri" is held as a "Family Event" where members of the households can spend time and enjoy, together, under traditional Japanese culture with an idea to assemble and to entertain Japanese residents who inhabit in Thailand and Thai people who are admired in Japanese traditions and culture to create valuable shared experiences. "Japanese-style Family Event" is not common in Thailand. Also, it is considered as encouragement of traditional Japanese culture which is, perhaps, unfamiliar with many Thai people. On behalf of Thai-Japan relations' 131st-anniversary ceremony, it has collaborated with the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Aeon Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd to set up "SAKURA MATSURI". (During 26-28th April at the EmQuartier, Quartier Avenue. G Floor and Helix Garden 5th Floor.

The festival will bring you the greatest "Hanami (Sakura Festival)" in Thailand. Now it's your time to experience amazing and charming pink leaves of up to a hundred Sakura trees, taste original flavors of Japanese food and dessert from well-known restaurants which are available, only, at this festival. For example, Rice wrapped in A5 Sendai Beef with Sea Urchin from KATANA, A5 Yamagata Beef scattered Sushi from Ranichi, Sakura Sushi Roll from Cocoro, Sakura parfait from My Porch, and Sakura Soft Cream from a pop-up cafe "Calbee My Taste", etc. The latest beverage from Kirin will also be introduced, in Thailand, for the first time. Besides rare food and beautiful scenario, visitors can, together, enjoy Japanese activities and amusement for summer festival.

Mr. Hiroki Mitsumata President of JETRO's announced Thailand-Japan relations has been strongly profound for a long time; for instance, Japanese residents and Business units, in Thailand, are forecasted to be annually proliferated. According to statistics of the year 2017, there were up to 73,000 Japanese residents (Based on the number of registered) ; in Thailand. 53,000 out of the total amount were living in Bangkok. It has the biggest proportion of Japanese residents compared to other cities from the rest of the world. JETRO's survey discovered that there were more than 5,400 Japanese organizations, in Thailand. Bangkok is considered the center of Japanese industrial companies; for instance, the automotive industry and other manufacture industries. Recently, other fields of businesses and services have; also, emerged. In 2007, there were only 745 Japanese restaurants in Thailand. The number; in 2018, had risen to 3,004 which is considered four times bigger in, only, eleven years. At present, Japanese cuisines have become a part of Thai people's daily life; regardless of social status. JETRO Bangkok plays crucial roles; for instance, encouraging imported agricultural products from Japan, supporting and advising business investment in Thailand. The incoming event, Sakura Matsuri, is truly a great opportunity for Thai people to experience Japanese culture, food, and travel which leads to an enhancement of the decent Thailand-Japan relations.
