Dr Wijarn Simachaya, (7th from left), Permanent Secretary of Natural Resources and Environment, Mrs Chularat Niratisayakul, (6th from left), Director General of the Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office (PO), in collaboration with representatives from 12 agencies altogether presided over the opening of the activity area "The city of abundance with biodiversity" at the International Conference on Biodiversity IBD 2019. The event features the exhibitions on Thailand's abundant natural resources, ranging from the mountains to the great rivers, full of lives, which is a valuable biodiversity, both in terms of conservation and economic creation. It also presents the achievements and knowledge of economic development from biodiversity in the past 12 years, as well as products from local communities. The IBD2019 was organised at Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Center, Central World, Bangkok.
