“WP Energy” with TAT and Kasetsart University Introduces Thailand’s First Online Cooking-Competition Show “CELEB CHEF THAILAND SEASON 1st” in Search for a Superstar Chef to Win Prize Worth Over 1 Million Baht

WP Energy, an LPG distributor and owner of Worldgas, emphasizes its commitment to support food industry in Thailand by collaborating with Institute of Food Research and Product Development, Kasetsart University, and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to create Thailand's first online cooking-competition show called "Celeb Chef Thailand Season 1st". The online program sets to turn an ordinary chef into a superstar whose talents in food creation will shine while on a quest of achieving each challenging mission in pursuit of excellent materials from across the country where he or she will be put to a task of cooking one-of-a-kind menus to help celebrate and promote Thai food industry as well as tourism industry. The program should provide contestants a rare chance to practice their cooking skills with renowned figures in Thai food industry like Chef Prachan Wong-uthaipan and Chef-Ching Kanokwan Asavanuchit among many other celebrity chefs. Any interested person can apply to compete in this online competition program from now until August 31, 2019. The winner will stand the chance to win prize worth over 1 million baht.

Miss Chomkamol Poompanmoung, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of WP Energy Public Company Limited, said "WP Energy is an LPG distributor of Worldgas. Following how we created Love Give project last year to support food tourism through Local Chef Table activity, this year we would like to take a step further by putting our focus on food as an important factor to promote good health and good quality of life for Thais. Through the concept of 'well-cooking, well-being', we are giving our full support to "The World's Best Street Food by Worldgas" project, held in February, where we gave awards to street food vendors with best taste that they become locally and internationally renowned. The program should provide contestants a rare chance to practice their cooking skills with renowned figures in Thai and international food industry likeChef Martin Blunos, a Michelin 2-star chef from UK who has served his creation to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II; Chef Prachan Wong-uthaipan, a renowned chef who has extensive experience in cooking as well as food styling; and Chef-Ching Kanokwan Asavanuchit who started her career out of her love for cooking and now she has become a celebrity chef and famous food blogger in her own right, among many celebrity chefs. These celebrity chefs will also join the program to create challenging tasks for contestants and add more fun to the table in every episode of the program.

The winner of this cooking-competition show will receive cash prize of more than 1 million baht.
