JWD applies strict measures to tackle 2nd round of COVID-19 Cold storage facilities remain operational under strict control

Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada, Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO of JWD InfoLogistics Public Company Limited (JWD), ASEAN's recognized expert in logistics and supply chain, revealed that due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly within Samut Sakhon Province where Pacific Cold Storage Company Limited has been operating the cold storage business within the JWD Group, the Company has issued extremely strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus so as to protect the health and safety of the employees and to instill confidence among customers as well as all stakeholders. These are in addition to regular awareness and hygienic measures that have been implemented continuously.

Most recently, eight new COVID-19 prevention measures have been issued. These include employee data assessment, employee commuting control, requirement for employees to immediately report to supervisors in case of sickness or fever, or being in close proximity to people who have those symptoms, strict visitor control, disinfecting of transport vehicles, etc.

More importantly, Pacific Cold Storage Co., Ltd. still operates the Company's cold storage business as usual under full protective and screening processes while it closely monitors the COVID-19 pandemic situation to constantly be prepared to consider adjustments to its operations in response to the prevailing situation and the government directives. Nevertheless, early assessment indicates that the slowdown in production, consumption and trades in Samut Sakhon area will have no negative effect on the Company's cold storage operations. Furthermore, a lockdown measure could possibly be advantageous to the cold and frozen storage demand - a situation that has transpired during the first lockdown earlier in the year.

"Due to this latest bout of the epidemic, the Company has strictly implemented the social distancing measures within the offices, such as the use of video conferences for meetings, the constant and mandatory wearing of hygienic masks while in the work place, and the cancellation of all social gatherings. Everyone can rest assured that the Company stands ready to provide full cooperation to stop the spread of COVID-19 this time around," Mr. Charvanin concluded.
