It has also become the top 1 online smartphone brand in China, according to the market research firm Sino.

Moreover, Honor has already established its footprints in various developed regions ahead of its main rivals, including the Western Europe, the Nordics, Eastern Europe, and North America.

"Honor is a trend-setting brand born for digital natives, all the products made by us are aiming to be pioneers in three key areas: new technology offering, aesthetics design, and the accessibility for young generation," said George Zhao, President of Honor. "I'm thrilled to announce that we are now officially landing ourselves in Southeast Asia, which will be our strategic markets in coming years. With the debut of Honor 7X in Malaysia, it is just the very beginning of our journey to Southeast Asia. In the near future, we aim to bring Honor closer to our fans in other key markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, Singapore and so on."

During the launch event in Kuala Lumpur today, Honor has announced a series of strategic partnerships with key industry players, including DJI, the market leader in easy-to-fly drones and aerial photography systems; IGG, a renowned video game developer and publisher; Grab, the technology company that offers ride-hailing and logistics services through its app in Southeast Asian nations; and Mobile Legend, one of the most popular mobile games in Southeast Asia.

"Honor is committed to setting up close engagement with our audience - the young generation and the ones who are young at heart, in their language and at their preferences, not just invest heavily in advertising or costly sponsorships," added George Zhao, "all the partnerships we initiated are designed to fit into young people's lifestyle, so as to offer them the best product and brand experience.
