2.5-inch and M.2 form factors for easy PC upgrade and ultra-fast SSD performance

Pioneer, a brand synonymous with premium electronics and audio-visual innovations, today announced the launch of the APS-SL2 and APS-SM1 solid-state drives as part of an expanding portfolio of IT and consumer electronics products.

The newly-introduced Internal SSD Series is based on the best-in-class TLC NAND flash memory and SLC cache technology to deliver incredible sequential read and write performance of up to 500MB/s and 400MB/s, respectively.

Compared to traditional hard disk drives, Pioneer's Internal SSD Series boasts four times higher read and write speeds, which translates to ultra-fast boot up and application load times.

Available in 120GB and 240GB capacities, the Internal SSD Series allows for an easy storage upgrade for most desktop and notebook PCs, thanks to a choice of 2.5-inch SSD format (APS-SL2) and M.2 2280 form factor (APS-SM1).

Both models are designed for high reliability and low power consumption, along with anti-shock and anti-vibration protection, as well as support for S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) feature, garbage collection, and advanced LDPC error-correction capability to ensure data security and stability.

Pioneer's Internal SSD Series products are backed by three-year limited warranty.
