Bangkok--7 Jun--Kaspersky Lab

Kaspersky Lab announced its win of two cybersecurity awards at the prestigious Networks Asia Information Management Awards 2018. Kaspersky Lab emerged as winners in the APT Protection and Threat Lifecycle Management categories.

Kaspersky Lab was voted the winners of these two categories by NetworkWorld Asia editors and 100 CIOs, IT directors, and heads of data centres and security from the Asia Pacific region. It is their second time winning an award for Cyber Security Solutions at Networks Asia Information Management Awards.

"We are honoured to win the APT protection and threat lifecycle management categories. This win validates Kaspersky Lab's multi-layered approach which helps businesses to implement an adaptive security strategy in countering targeted attacks and advanced threats," said Stephan Neumeier, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab Asia Pacific. "Through our experts and solutions Kaspersky Lab has enabled businesses to realise the importance of cybersecurity and protecting their assets."

"Kaspersky Lab has always been a pioneer in helping businesses to adapt their security strategies to defend against advanced threats and targeted attacks, and the award reiterates that our strategy for disrupting the market is working" he added.

The NetworkWorld Asia (NWA) Information Management Awards was inaugurated in 2012 and recognizes Asia's leading providers of Data Management, Security and Storage solutions for their huge advances made over the last few years.

This is the 7th year of the awards that covers a spectrum of categories from big data, internet of things (IoT), cybersecurity, the hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence (AI).

"Over the years, Kaspersky Lab has demonstrated its innovative approach in meeting the cybersecurity needs of organizations in Asia Pacific, despite the fast-evolving threat landscape," said Victor Ng, Enterprise Group Editor at Questex Asia, the publisher of NetworkWorld Asia and organizer of the Information Management Awards. "As cybersecurity threats become more sophisticated, there is a very real need for holistic protection and all-round defense."

Also for the fifth year in a row, Kaspersky Lab has again retained the top spot in its TOP3 cybersecurity metric, coming first place 72 times out of 86 independent tests and reviews, and finishing in the top three 91% of the time. These results have cemented the company's position as industry leader, because of its ability to defend users with the best security solutions and provide high-quality protection against known, unknown, and advanced threats.

"Threats are no longer easily eradicated like that they used to and have to be managed with the right process. We thank the public for their recognition and we promise to continue to do our best in providing a trustworthy cyber security solution," said Jesmond Chang, Head of Corporate Communications, APAC, Kaspersky Lab
