ABeam Consulting (Thailand) Ltd. advises enterprises on Cybersecurity. From ThaiCERT study, 35% of cyber-crime attacked individual while 65% attacked organizations. Legislating law on cyber has been officially announced; therefore, strengthen protection regarding strong Cybersecurity system in organization level need to be taken into actions. Comprehensive process from security reinforcement initiatives to actual diagnosis and countermeasure is required to assess and eliminate all company risks. According to ESET Cyber-Savviness Report in 2015, 72.5% people have knowledge of the proactive actions to avoid risk but only 45.3% takes proactive measure to prevent the risk. Enterprises; therefore, are urged to give importance to their employees' awareness and knowledge on Cybersecurity individually.

Mr. Ichiro Hara, Managing Director of ABeam Consulting (Thailand) Ltd., a subsidiary of ABeam Consulting Ltd., which is one of the global consulting company headquartered in Japan with an expertise in digital transformation, revealed that Cybersecurity is one major concern getting more and more important along with the growth of digital in every part of daily life. Many countries have already experienced the impact of cyber-attack; therefore, effort and investment for Cybersecurity in organizations have been increasing in the past years. In Thailand, there were both cyber-crime incidents happened both to individual and organizations; therefore, enterprises are advised to take actions for Cybersecurity.

According to ThaiCERT report in 2017, 35% cyber-crime attacked individual while 65% attacked organizations. Individual cyber-crime cases include Social Engineering, Cirrus, Malware infection, etc. Organization cyber-crime incidents are unauthorized access, hacking, scam, infringement of copyright, etc. In terms of policies, Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MEDS) has published a long-term policy for digitalization since October 2016 focusing on developing infrastructure for Internet, Wi-Fi and legislating the law in phase 1 (2016 – 2018). In part of law, Cybersecurity law has been officially announced.

"Enterprises need to strengthen protection regarding strong Cybersecurity system in organizations. Comprehensive process from security reinforcement initiatives to actual security diagnosis and vulnerability countermeasure is required to assess and eliminate all company risks from cyber-crime both to organization and individual. Cybersecurity solutions to organizations have to start from security diagnosis on Website, Network, Mall Server, and Application. Then, move to the next layer with vulnerability countermeasure of Web Application Firewall and Non-Web Application Security Platform," said Mr. Hara.

Apart from organization, Cybersecurity to individual in the organization needs to be focused as well. According to ESET Cyber-Savviness Report in 2015, 72.5% people have knowledge of the proactive actions to avoid risk but only 45.3% takes proactive measure to prevent the risk. ABeam advised enterprises to start from Security Literacy Diagnosis with PC and Mobile Security Monitoring System as a vulnerability countermeasure. Moreover, Security Literacy Training should be provided to all levels of employees in organizations for awareness and knowledge on Cybersecurity individually.

Mr.Hara added that for security sustainability, enterprises should establish CSIRT support and create organization's Cybersecurity roadmap for security enforcement. For individual level, enterprise should create cyber awareness to strengthen security immunity and promote "Cybersecurity is everyone's responsibility." Not only IT guy.
