Bosch's participation at the Worlddidac Asia 2019 Forum in Bangkok underscores its commitment to accelerate Thailand's transition to a knowledge-based economy

Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things rapidly change the way work is undertaken in diverse industries and businesses. For Bosch, Industry 4.0 is not about replacing existing workers with machines, it is structured for the advanced training of existing and new workers and easing their understanding and practical use of web-enhanced technologies and solutions as they transition into today's digitalized economies.

As a leading specialist in drive and control technology, Bosch has a unique level of technological expertise as both an internal user and external provider. This dual experience is applied in the development of training courses, systems, learning tools and didactic materials.

"Bosch's vision for the Factory of the Future in Thailand, as in other countries, requires that employees adapt to and embrace some dramatically new skill sets that cover the entire manufacturing process – everything from data mining to the use of augmented reality," said Mr. Nikolay Kurnosov, General Manager for Bosch Rexroth Thailand.

At the Worlddidac Asia 2019 in Bangkok, Bosch presented its eLearning, eTraining, and practical training systems, all of which collectively guide aspiring professionals with the help of multimedia, illustrations, animations and videos. Learning curves are flatter and more manageable when complex facts, processes and issues are met with practical, easy-to-understand solutions and case studies.

Formerly known as the Asia Education Leadership Forum, Worlddidac is a global trade association created to work with all education sectors and relevant associations to develop and improve the education sector. Worlddidac members are manufacturers of educational materials, dealers, distributors, international associations, governmental institutions, schools, universities and private entrepreneurs working in business education at all levels and in all fields.

Together with its partner, JET (Thailand) Company Limited, Bosch Rexroth presented conference participants with highlights of its tailor-made education models and school curriculums that provide an important and practical foundation, and are aimed at specific target groups in a wide variety of courses in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechatronics and automation.

Rexroth displayed mMS4.0, a modular mechatronics training system that gives students practical user case experiences in real manufacturing settings using standard industrial components instead of simulated models.

Thailand's Deputy Minister of Education, Dr.Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich, and the Chairman of the Forum & Honorary President Didacta Association, Dr.Wassilios Fthenakis, visited Bosch Rexroth's booth and were welcomed by Mr. Nikolay Kurnosov.

Addressing Thailand's need and resolve to rise and meet the challenges of today and tomorrow, Mr. Kurnosov concluded by stating that, "The constant phase of technological breakthroughs affecting the practicality of school curriculums and businesses such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and robotics, have resulted in dramatic changes in manufacturing and automation processes. This poses challenges and opportunities for students and employees. Having implemented connected solutions in virtually all its roughly 280 plants already, Bosch continues to view these challenges as a welcome part of a practical learning curve and also as something to be overcome by Bosch's proven working model."
