The Board of Directors at Sunplay Asia, the developers behind the expansive new residential community on Thailand's Eastern Seaboard, Sunplay Bangsaray, have endorsed Khun Phornphun Phornprapah as company chairperson.

A well respected business figure in Thailand, Mrs. Phornprapah holds senior roles in several other large Thai companies, including Siam Motors Co., Ltd. She is an Independent Director of Seamico Securities Plc., where she sits on the Audit & Risk Management Committee, and also owns a shareholding in the Siam@Siam Hotel Group.

Mrs. Phornprapah's family is a significant shareholder in Sunplay Asia and has long-standing interests in the area that surrounds the Sunplay Bangsaray development. Commenting on her interest in the project, she said, "We truly believe that this part of Thailand is a wonderful place to enjoy an active and fulfilling lifestyle in one's mature years. The advantages are numerous with a safe and clean living environment, excellent visa arrangements to support second home investments and clear price advantages when compared to other parts of Asia."

"All these factors combine to ensure that Thailand maintains and builds on its well established reputation as one of the world's Top 10 retirement destinations," Mrs. Phornprapah added.

Sunplay Bangsaray extends across 28 hectares of ocean view land within a private gated development located just 90 minutes' drive from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The residential resort community offers residents and investors a choice of 70 freehold condominiums, 50 Pool Villas, several large luxury residences, and The Sunplay Club, an exclusive private residents' facility designed to offer a stylish, relaxing environment with an onsite deli and cafe, expansive pool and poolside bar, fine dining restaurant and well stocked wine cellar.

The estate features jogging and biking trails along its lakeside pathways and is a short drive to world-class golf courses, marinas, dining and retail attractions. Sunplay Asia's signature First Class Concierge service will offer residents personalised access to a wide range of activities and attractions.

Mr. Chris Delaney, Managing Director of Sunplay Asia said, "We are delighted to have Khun Phornphun's support. She knows the area very well and will enable Sunplay's co-operation with area attractions like the Siam Country Club, Mo?venpick Siam Hotel Pattaya to become even stronger. We expect many Thai investors to eventually become part of the Sunplay community and Khun Phornphun is particularly keen to offer her guidance with regard to integrating a true sense of "Thainess" into this development, as well as in Sunplay Asia's future projects."

Sunplay Bangsaray is located within easy access of the fast expanding U-Tapao International airport, which has been dubbed Thailand's third international transport hub. Major improvements to the main highway from the Thai capital to the coast are also underway, and a planned high-speed rail link between Bangkok and Pattaya will further reduce travel time.

Sunplay Asia has received EIA approval and construction begins in May 2017. Sunplay The Heights Condominiums and The Sunplay Club are scheduled for completion in the second half of 2018. Prices range from USD 250,000 to 1 million.www.sunplay.asia
