Monfils, a Paris native as well as a competitor in this year's tournament, is donating proceeds from the Experience to benefit the Association for Information and Prevention of Sickle Cell Disease, a cause that's particularly important to Monfils because of family members living with the disease.
For guests, the multi-day Experience offers front-row access to the biggest tennis tournament in France, and the chance to meet and practice your game with one of the sport's most popular stars.
"Fans are an integral part of our sport," Monfils says. "I was very much looking forward to meeting pro players when I was growing up, so I know exactly the feeling. I am always happy to share a laugh with them or some advice."
On match day, guests will meet Monfils' agent for a behind-the-curtain look at the tournament before enjoying the match in a suite alongside Monfils' friends and family. A few days later, guests will join Monfils at hisfavorite training spot, hit some balls, and get a few tips from the tennis champion.
For tennis fans who can't book the Experience, Monfils has also published a Guidebook detailing some of his personal favorite workout spots in Paris.
As a Paris local, the tournament and city holds special significance for Monfils: "There is nothing like playing at home in front of my friends and family," he adds. "I am very much looking forward to this part of the season."
Monfils' top piece of advice for fans looking to improve their play? "Be passionate about the game," he adds. "Sometimes players get too serious about it, but at the end of the day it's important to keep in mind why we're playing."
The Gaël Monfils Experience is available May 28-30 in Paris for match day, and June 13-15 outside of Paris for the practice session.
The tournament runs from May 22 until June 11. Guests visiting Paris can also check out listings with private tennis courts, or consider some of the other sports Experiences available through Airbnb's Trips platform.
