CENTARA REINTRODUCES DAVID MARTENS AS ITS NEW CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS FOR HUA HIN, KRABI SAMUI

Operating a diverse portfolio of innovative properties across regions, Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand's leading hotel operator, has recently reinforced its senior management team with the promotion of Mr. David Martens to Corporate Director of Operations Hin, Krabi and Samui. In this new position, Mr. Martens will oversee multiple property's operations in Hua Hin, Krabi and Samui.

A highly-skilled and confident hotelier, Australian-born David Martens holds over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry in various destinations, including Maldives, Egypt, India, Vanuatu and Fiji. He joined Centara Hotels & Resorts in March 2012 as General Manager of Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas Krabi. In 2014, Mr. Marten was promoted to Area General Manager, overseeing the Centra Anda Dhevi Resort and Spa and the opening of Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort Krabi. The highly respected executive later relocated toCentara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin in December 2016 until present.

In his new role, Mr. Martens will be responsible for the overall performance of multiple hotels and resorts in the chain, and oversee all activities associated with hotel operations. Mr. Martens will continue to be based in Hua Hin, simultaneously taking on the role of General Manager of the iconic beachfront property Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hinalongside his new responsibilities.
