AirAsia X Joins South Korea’s Renowned Theme Park Unveiling “Lotte World” Livery to Showcase the Park’s Icons

BANGKOK - Thai AirAsia X has joined hands with Lotte World, a theme park and full-fledged entertainment contre in Seoul of South Korea, to introduce a "Lotte World" livery adorned on the Airbus A330-300 depicting the park's mascots Lotty and Lorry as well as its iconic castle and Lotte World Tower, South Korea's tallest skyscraper and the 5th tallest in the world.

The new livery is part of a promotion and media exchange agreement between Thai AirAsia X and Lotte World, South Korea. The theme park is also promoting AirAsia in its Lotte World Aquarium and Lotte World Adventure.

Thai AirAsia X and Lotte World have been working together on a number of collaborations including a promotion for AirAsia guests which has been well-received. AirAsia guests can present their boarding passes at Lotte World's entrance ticket booth to receive 30% discount on tickets to Lotte World Aquarium and Lotte World Adventure.

Don Mueang-Seoul was Thai AirAsia X's first route when it launched four years ago and one that has continued to be so popular that it has expanded to 3 flights daily at present.

Thai AirAsia X currently flies from Bangkok (Don Mueang Airport) to Incheon Airport in Seoul of South Korea 3 times a day, Tokyo of Japan 3 times a day, Osaka of Japan 2 times a day, Sapporo of Japan 1 time a day, Nagoya of Japan 1 time a day and Shanghai of China 1 time a day. The airline plans to acquire 3 additional aircraft in 2018 to end the year with a fleet of 10 aircraft in preparation for continued expansion.

Lotte World is a business within Lotte Group located in Seoul of South Korea. A major leisure and entertainment centre, Lotte World comprises the indoor Lotte World Adventure, outdoor Magic Island and a collection of department stores, hotels, museums, an aquarium, cinema and full-fledged sports centre. The park welcomes 7.3 million visitors a year and is considered one of South Korea's top attractions.
