THAI Serves Classic French Menus by Michelin Star Chef on Five European Routes

Travel and Lifestyle Press Releases Friday June 28, 2019 16:03
Bangkok--28 Jun--Thai Airways International

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) in cooperation with Lebua Hotels and Resorts launched Chef Endorsement Menu prepared by Michelin Star Chef from Chef's Table restaurant at Lebua Hotels and Resorts. The classic French menu will be served to Royal First Class passengers on Bangkok-London route and Royal Silk Class passengers on flights from Bangkok to London, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris and Zurich from July to August 2019.

Mr. Sudhiratr Siriplanond, THAI's Acting Vice President, In-flight Services Department, said the Chef Endorsement Menu project was launched through cooperation between THAI and Lebua Hotels and Resorts with the well-known 3-Michelin-Star Chef Vincent Thierry creating a classic French menu with authentic French flavors to serve on board THAI flights. His cooking short definition is "Classic French Cuisine with Simplicity and Unpretentiousness". Chef Vincent Thierry selects the best organic ingredients by adhering to the 80/20 theory, meaning 80% of the ingredients are local produce and 20% are imported premium raw materials which cannot be found in Thailand. The special menu is carefully prepared by the Chef to serve on board THAI's ex-Bangkok flights for passengers traveling in the Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class starting from 1 July to 31 August 2019 as follows.

Royal First Class: On Bangkok-London route (TG910);
First course: Lobster Tiramisu Marinated, Tandoori Fruits, Mascarpone Cream
Main course: Seared Duck Breast, Ginger Sauce, Potato Gnocchi and Beetroot Puree
Royal Silk Class: on Bangkok-London (TG910/916), Bangkok-Frankfurt (TG920/922), Bangkok-Munich (TG924), Bangkok-Paris (TG930) and Bangkok-Zurich (TG970) routes;
First course: Caviar Scallop & Lobster, Green Jelly, Shallot Cream
Main course: Chicken Roll Stuff Prawn, Mushroom and Fennel Chicken & Prawn Sauce, Seared Tiger Prawn, Fennel Puree, Seared Fennel

The cooperation between THAI and Lebua Hotels and Resorts on this Chef Endorsement Menu started in 2018. Due to its popularity and positive feedback from passengers, the project was repeated this year to further enhance customers' satisfaction and experience when flying THAI.
