Bangkok--27 Jan--Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin
Capturing the spirit of joy and prosperity, Centara Grand Hua Hin welcomed guests to enjoy the 2020 Chinese New Year celebration over a bountiful feast and festivities from unique cultural traditions.

Welcoming the Year of the Rat in the Chinese calendar in traditional style, the anticipated Chinese New Year Prosperous Gala Dinner recently held at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin created memorable moments and impressively celebrated the dawn of new beginnings. Offering to its guests grand dining experiences, colourful decorations and vibrant traditions, the auspicious evening was led by David Martens, General Manager & Corporate Director of Operations Hua Hin, Krabi, Samui & Vietnam, as the hotel's management team greeted and mingled with guests who were encouraged to get on board and adorn Chinese-inspired costume. Likewise, the historic hotel was transformed to resemble the ancient Chinese neighbourhood in previous days, with hanging Chinese lanterns and intricate red decorations, a symbol of luck and prosperity.

Fascinating cultural performances and traditional activities added to the celebration even more fun and excitement. One of the highlights was a traditional Lion-Awakening Ceremony to spread all the good blessings of the Chinese festivities, followed by a spectacular Chinese Lion Dance featuring Chinese drumming and cymbal clashes that captivated guests of all ages. The evening was also accompanied by some auspicious Chinese specialties and other culinary delights from around the world, presented on a grand buffet spread with live music throughout the night.
