The Standard Introduces “Buy One, Give One” an Opportunity to Give Back as We Reopen

Bangkok--29 May--Standard Asia

The impact of the Corona Virus on hospitality and our communities has been devastating. During this global pandemic we have encountered heroic caregivers and first responders, as well as regular people in the service business who, despite the circumstances, never stopped serving each of us.

Now, through our “Buy One, Give One” program, as our communities and hotels reopen, The Standard is offering our guests the opportunity to give back.

Now until 11 June 2020, when a guest books a room at any Standard hotel (Buy One), they have an opportunity to gift a stay (Give One) to a first responder, essential worker or anyone who kept them going through this crisis. Even a family member or a friend who helped keep their spirits up.

Upon booking their reservation, the benefactor will fill out a note that indicates to whom and why they are gifting the stay. Once complete, The Standard team will notify the gift recipient and will be prepared to welcome them with a customized note and VIP treatment upon arrival, to express your (and our) gratitude.

“By sharing our hotels, we are giving our guests the opportunity to express their thanks to those who have kept them going during this difficult time,” said Amar Lalvani, CEO of The Standard. “Whether that be a health care worker, delivery person or local barista who never stopped serving. It’s a small gesture, but one we hope helps our community begin this next chapter with an enduring spirit of goodwill.”

Upon booking their reservation, the benefactor will fill out a note that indicates why they are giving and to whom. Once complete, The Standard team will notify the gift recipient and we will be prepared to welcome them with VIP treatment upon arrival.

“At The Standard, we pride ourselves on engaging with and serving our communities,” said Standard CEO, Amar Lalvani. “By sharing the comfort of our hotels and through thoughtful care from our staff, we have the opportunity to partner with our guests to give back in a small, but meaningful way, to those who have done so much for all of us during this time.”
