PTT introduces a new payment technique via SPEED PAY STATION enabling faster and safer payment

A safer way to operate business at PTT Gas station with the use of CCTV recording device resulting in a Cashless Social Policy through Dynamic QR Code scanning system which is available for trial at PTT Gas Station, Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence (Bangna Outbound), the first ever Gas station to use the QR Code.

Ms. Jiraphon Kawswat, Senior Executive Vice President, Oil Business Unit and Mr. Suchat Ramarch, Executive Vice President, Retail Marketing PTT Public Company Ltd., together held a Press Conference regarding the launching of PTT Speed Pay Station at PTT Bangna Gas Station (outbound). The new system allows a more convenience and faster payment methods through a Dynamic QR Code scanning that allies with the national policy of E-Payment method set by the Ministry of Finance as following Thailand 4.0 policy.

LT. GEN. Siripong Wongskhunti, Director General, Defense Energy Department, Defense Industry and Energy Centre has the honor of attending the event as well.

Ms. Jiraphon says that PTT sees a steady development in terms of E-payment in today's technological advances. Henceforth, the PTT Speed Pay has been develop to serve the needs of today's new generation lifestyles. Moreover, enhancing consumer's satisfaction by providing a more convenience method payment at PTT gas station and retails stores.

Through PTT Speed Pay customers can swiftly and easily pay for the refuel and purchases at PTT gas station via a special Drive Thru lane, where customer can make payment by scanning the QR Code thru Mobile Banking application where a QR Code containing the fuel information will appear on the screen as proof of payment and PTT Blue Card earned points. In addition, the Drive Thru lane is also used as an expressway for payments by credit card, including Contactless Payment as well. Credit card payment will be done through Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system, which was develop through the corporation via Kasikorn Bank and PTT, in order to serve customer need effectively. The system is expected to reduce the amount of time to refuel and payment by 20%, additionally customer and make purchases via Dynamic QR Code whether at Amazon cafe, Daddy Dough Doughnut shop or Hua Seng Hong Dim Sum as well.

PTT has planned to expand its technological development into retail businesses within mid of year 2018. Furthermore, PTT also has plans to develop PTT Speed Pay system to other related technological devices such as e-Wallet, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Image Processing to further serve consumer needs were PTT will analyze such needs though a conducted customer survey in order to improve its system more effectively.
