PTT Strives for an Advancement in “Digital Workplace”, Promoting Thailand 4.0 Policy

Today (12 July 2018) – Mr. Chansin Treenuchagron, Chief Technology and Engineering Officer, PTT Public Company Limited, presided over the launch of Power of Digital Transformation Scheme at PTT Head Office. Mr. Chansin had declared that in this digital era, technology would play a crucial role for business conduction. Thus, the company culture needed to be transformed to acquire digital culture while the organization's working model should also move toward the current globalized world. These required connectivity and convenience without any limitation of time and emplacement. Also, they should be able to quickly answer to the needs as well as stay in line with the Thailand 4.0 Government Policy that will help transform Thai economy into an innovation-and technology-driven economy.

As PTT is stepping into its 40th anniversary, the company has adjusted its work culture to be more modernized and responsive to the business trend in this new era. The progress runs under digital transforming ideas via Internet of Things (IOT). So, when all applications are connected, it enables easy control via internet network. Internal digital communication would enable PTT to become the prototype innovative organization, resulting in fast efficient collaboration among its employees and precise work assessment which are reflective to the needs of the new employment generation. Moreover, it would welcome more collaboration and tighten employees' relationship in a seamless space by introducing new applications and technologies to promote the organizational development toward the digital advancement. This includes the execution of OneDrive, PowerBI, KOOLS Keeper, SkillLane, and Chatbot as well as the Workplace by Facebook that provides a new collaboration platform for all employees through voice communication and VDO call, group chat, and news feed.
