OPEN HOUSE at Central Embassy- Bangkok' retail beacon- has been given the Good Design Award 2018, one of the four greatest design awards in the world, in the category of construction/space design/sign system for commercial facilities from Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP), Japan.

Barom Bhicharnchitr said "Heartfelt thank you for this recognition as this is a globally trusted and well-recognized design award. Receiving this award has made us more determined than ever to always provide a good life, community and lifestyle destination in Central Bangkok. Bonding with family and friends in a multifunctional, co-living space with many different zones to inspire and encourage quality time in a home-like relaxed atmosphere.

Set 50 meters above Bangkok, the concept is a community of spaces with a familiar human scale, a place in which anyone can feel relaxed and at home, spending all day here if they wish. Across 7,000 sqm, the space is divided into 8 zones including Eating Deck, Eat by the Park, Open House Bookshop by Hardcover, Co-Thinking Space, Art Tower, Design Shop, Open Playground and Diplomat Screens Embassy by AIS.

The Good Design Award (G Mark) has been a sole comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system in Japan since 1957. Many companies and designers from both inside and outside of Japan participate in the competition to enhance the industry and the quality of life through design. "G Mark", the symbol of the award has been recognized widely as a mark representing good design.

"Last year, there were 4,495 entries from all over the world and 1,403 projects were selected. So we're really happy that Open House has been recognized as a winner of the Good Design Award (G Mark) which is the world's most prestigious and historical Design Award", said Mark Dytham from Klein Dytham architecture.
