Peng Shen Technology, a joint venture between Saha Group and Zhen Ding Tech Group (ZDT), the world's top PCB manufacturer, is establishing its PCB manufacturing plant on over 300 rai (approximately 118 acres) in Saha Group's Industrial Park, Kabin Buri, Prachin Buri Province, with an initial investment of around 10 billion baht in the first phase and more than 50 billion baht by 2030. The primary goal is to become a smart PCB manufacturing factory, increasing market share and serving as a major production base for ZDT Group.

Peng Shen Technology, a leading producer of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and a joint venture between Zhen Ding Tech Group (ZDT), the world's number one PCB manufacturer, and Saha Group, has initiated a collaborative project to develop local talent for the PCB manufacturing industry in Thailand. The company has signed cooperation agreements with five leading Thai educational institutions, aiming to increase Thailand's share of the global PCB production and elevate its position to the forefront of the industry.

Siriporn Pittayasophon, Ph.D., Senior Strategist and Acting Director of the the National Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), who was the guest of honor at the MOU signing ceremony, emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) has a strategy to promote and develop human resources in semiconductors and advanced electronics (Semiconductor & Advanced Electronics) to prepare for driving the Thai economy towards a sustainable future. This initiative is expected to reassure investors and significantly contribute to developing high-skilled personnel that meets the needs of the country's advanced electronics industry.

Mr. Vorayos Thongtan, President of Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited (SPI), stated that the rapid advancement and growth of current technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), electric vehicles, and the Internet of Things (IoT), have increased the complexity and demand for PCBs, essential components of all electronic devices. China is the world's leading PCB production base, followed by Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. Thailand is recognized as the leading PCB manufacturing base in ASEAN, attracting foreign PCB investors due to the expansion of production bases and continuous relocation of manufacturing plants to Thailand. Peng Shen Technology marks the beginning of ZDT Group's expansion into ASEAN. The company is currently constructing a factory in Saha Group Industrial Park Kabinburi, Prachinburi Province, which will positively impact Thailand's potential to become a leading PCB production country in the world. Therefore, preparing infrastructure to support manufacturers must go hand in hand with developing skilled PCB personnel. The collaboration with five leading educational institutions, namely King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Kasetsart University, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, is a significant step towards a shared future and serves as a declaration of Thailand's commitment to becoming a global PCB production hub.

Mr. Darren Xiao, President of Peng Shen Technology Co., Ltd., added that Peng Shen Technology will commenceits first phase of production in Thailand in 2025, requiring over 1,000 highly skilled personnel by 2027. Peng Shen Technology had previously initiated cooperation by awarding scholarships to the first group of 20 Thai students for internships at ZDT's Huai'an factory in Jiangsu Province, China, under the two-month Summer Internship Program. This initiative not only provides students with real-world experience and brings new energy to the company but also strengthens cooperation for mutual benefits, strengthen technical capabilities, and increases Thailand's competitiveness in the PCB industry. In 2024, Peng Shen Technology will continue developing the workforce to meet the growing demands of the PCB industry.
