Mr. Tetsuya Shinohara, Vice Chairman of Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation, said, "The Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation is established in 1991 and for 33 years we have always been supporting education for we believe that education is the key to sustainable development. We are proud for our support to Prateep Dek Thai Project for the development of next generation education since 2017 making this our 8th consecutive year of support. This is in line with our goal for sustainable development to not leave anyone behind which we have always focus on. I do hope that this contribution will benefit the society by promoting access to education which is an invaluable tool to change children's lives. Furthermore, I hope this will help reduce inequality, promote equity, fuel social progress and spark changes for the better in life in the future."
The Prateep Dek Thai Foundation was established in 1975 by the late Somdej Prayana Vachirodom (Luang Phor Viriyang Sirintharo) the former abbot of Wat Thammamongkol with the aim of raising funds to build Child Development Center for underprivileged children aged 2-6 years of age. The goal is for children to gain access to education and appropriate physical, emotional and social development at early age - as well preparing them to grow into youths who can do good for the Thai society.
The Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation is committed to supporting socially responsible activities focusing on education, environment and quality of life development to foster sustainability.
