G-SHOCK, renowned for its timepiece toughness developed to withstand even a seven-story drop, is imported and distributed in Thailand by Central Marketing Group (CMG), a subsidiary of Central Retail Group. The brand has launched an exciting new campaign titled "TOUGH LIKE YOU" and introduced "Superbon Singha Mawynn", a highly celebrated Muay Thai fighter, as the brand ambassador for the iconic G STEEL GM-2110D Metal Series in the BlueSky color.

The campaign emphasizes resilience, dedication, and the relentless drive to conquer challenges, mirroring the spirit of G-SHOCK's metal series designs. Through the unique, rugged aesthetics of each piece, wearers are invited to share their personal stories of endurance and strength.

The launch event was honored by the presence of Mr. Kikuo Ibe, the legendary G-SHOCK engineer and innovator behind the brand's success AKA "Father of G-SHOCK", alongside Mr.Shinji SAITO, General Manager and Chief Producer Product Planning Department Timepiece Business Unit, as well as Jitinat Asdamongkol, President of ONE Championship Thailand who attended to congratulate Superbon and showcase the G STEEL GM-2110D Metal Series (10,900 Bath). Fans were also treated to a display of other popular models, including the G-SHOCK GA-2100 Series, CASIO Vintage, EDIFICE, and G-SHOCK's 10-year battery collection. The event was held at the Vibhavadee Ballroom C, Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok, on Monday, November 18, 2024.

"G-SHOCK is a brand known for its toughness, beloved by people of all ages worldwide. I'm deeply honored to join the G-SHOCK family and excited to embody the brand's character through my lifestyle. Mr. Kikuo Ibe, the engineer responsible for creating the legendary G-SHOCK timepiece, recounted the inspiration for its development. In 1978, when his father's watch broke after an accidental fall, Ibe became determined to create an exceptionally durable watch. He pioneered the "Triple 10 Concept"—a watch that could withstand a 10-meter drop, hold a 10-year battery life, and endure 10-bar water resistance. In 1981, he established "Project Team Tough", iterating over 200 prototypes until, in 1983, the first G-SHOCK watch debuted. Its structure featured a multi-layer shock-resistance system, utilizing impact-resistant and water-resistant materials, with a flexible case that absorbs shocks from all directions. This toughness has become G-SHOCK's global signature, symbolizing unbounded strength.
