Beiersdorf Thailand, the global skincare producer of NIVEA and Eucerin, continues its commitment to education by donating a digital library and learning resources to Prongmadua Wittayakom School in Nakhon Pathom province. This marks the third consecutive year of the "Library for Lifelong Learning Empowerment" program, a collaborative initiative between Beiersdorf Thailand, Ashoka: Innovators for the Public (Thailand) Foundation, and the Thailand Collaboration for Education (TCFE) by the Yuvabadhana Foundation. To date, the program has established 16 libraries nationwide, providing underprivileged children with equitable access to quality education. This initiative aligns with Beiersdorf's commitment, Care Beyond Skin, and its dedication to enhancing lives by focusing on education as a powerful tool for social transformation.

Beiersdorf promotes a sustainable learning approach through a transformative program that modernizes and revitalizes libraries with cutting-edge educational tools and media. This initiative empowers children and youth with essential skills while equipping local communities to tackle social inequality and poverty. By reimagining libraries as vibrant educational hubs—local education learning centres—the program fosters skill development critical for future workforce readiness. Ultimately, it supports long-term economic growth and strengthens the foundation for a more sustainable and equitable society.

Ms. Waraporn Likhitchanyakul, General Manager of Beiersdorf Thailand stated that "Education is a fundamental right and a cornerstone for shaping the future of communities and nations alike. At Beiersdorf, we prioritize sustainable business practices that drive meaningful change in Thai society, with a particular focus on empowering women, children, and youth. The "Library for Lifelong Learning Empowerment" program, now in its third year, represents a valuable partnership with Ashoka (Thailand) and Thailand Collaboration for Education (TCFE) by the Yuvabadhana Foundation. This initiative aims to improve the quality of life and promote equality for underprivileged children and youth by providing modern learning tools, an advanced library management system, and tailored online English resources designed to spark curiosity and skill development. We are confident that the resources provided to Prongmadua Wittayakom School will enhance educational opportunities and deliver long-lasting benefits to the entire community.

The library has been brought to life with the strong support of key partners, including the Ashoka: Innovators for the Public (Thailand) Foundation (Ashoka Thailand) and Thailand Collaboration for Education (TCFE) by the Yuvabadhana Foundation. This dream-come-true library is more than just a library- it is a hub for learning and inspiration. It features a modernized design and advanced library management system, fully equipped with resources tailored to children's skill development. These include tablets for e-book reading, skill-building toys, illustrated books, and various educational materials. In addition to providing physical resources, the program offers training courses for teachers to enhance their skills in library management, English language teaching, and effective evaluation techniques. Through these efforts, Beiersdorf aims to bridge the educational gap and create equal opportunities for children across Thailand. Currently, the program has successfully established 16 libraries nationwide, reinforcing Beiersdorf's commitment to improving lives and fostering brighter futures for children and communities alike.

An evaluation of the project revealed impressive outcomes, with students participating in the online English skills training course achieving an average 38% improvement in their English subject scores. Notably, children who utilized the library's resources showed enhancement in critical thinking, technological literacy, and proficiency with modern educational tools. They also developed stronger reading comprehension, skimming, and research skills through regular engagement with books and e-books provided. Beyond academics, the library fostered positive social habits, including collaboration, as children interacted with skill-building toys and educational tools. These activities also contributed to the development of emotional intelligence (EQ). These results underscore the success of Beiersdorf's initiative in transforming the library into a holistic learning centre that benefits not just students, but the broader community.

In addition to fostering academic excellence, Beiersdorf goes beyond supporting learning resources by directly assisting children with strong academic potential but limited financial means. Through its partnership with the Yuvabadhana Foundation, the company awarded seven scholarships in the past year to students from schools participating in the program. These scholarships, aimed at underprivileged students from Mathayom 1 to Mathayom 6, play a vital role in ensuring continuity in education and preventing dropouts. Over the past three years, Beiersdorf has provided a total of 17 scholarships, offering these children the opportunity to pursue their studies and work toward brighter futures.

"A sustainable learning space acts as a guiding compass for the community, particularly for children and youth, inspiring them to cultivate the skills necessary to thrive and make meaningful contributions to society. These young minds aspire to better job opportunities and an improved quality of life, and we take pride in supporting their journey toward realizing these aspirations. At the same time, we remain committed to building sustainable communities across every aspect of our value chain."
