The HR Innovation Award project is organized by four leading institutions in Thailand: the Personnel Management Association of Thailand (PMAT), the Institute for Human Resource Professional Development (IHPD), the National Productivity Institute, and the School of Human Resource Development at the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). The initiative aims to identify and promote innovative practices in human resource management and development. It encourages both public and private sectors to continuously innovate in personnel management while fostering a culture of innovation across organizations of all sizes, including supporting SMEs in adopting innovative HR solutions.
Goals of the AFAST Project:
- Expand Learning Opportunities: Provide free access to educational resources through online courses offered on SCB Academy's Phonlamuangdee platform and its partner networks, enabling everyone to learn and grow.
- Promote Career Development: Support skill development, career advancement, and income generation by organizing activities such as workshops, bootcamps, and various career development programs designed to enhance teaching and professional skills.
This project integrates innovations in human resource management and development through knowledge sharing, skill-building, expert collaboration, and advanced technologies from both within and outside the bank, including partnerships with over 40 organizations from the public and private sectors.
Within the bank, these HR innovations result from collaboration between the People Function and various departments, with strong support from top executives, including Mr. Orapong Thien-Ngern, President and Chief Technology Officer; Ms. Wannarat Phanjan, First Executive Vice President & Head of Operations; Mr. Krieng Wongnongtaey, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer; and Ms. Pornpat Ongnithiwat, First Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Their leadership has driven initiatives in workforce development, operational process improvement, and technological advancements, preparing employees to play a key role in advancing SCB toward its vision of becoming a Digital Bank with a Human Touch.
The project's impact extends beyond the bank, contributing to societal development by offering learning opportunities to various groups, including students, teachers, university students, working professionals, and retirees. It helps them adapt to the fast-paced digital age by focusing on four essential skill areas: Digital Skills, Self-Mastery Skills, Cognitive Skills, and Team Collaboration Skills.
