Somchai Sittichaisrichart, Managing Director, SiS Distribution (Thailand) Public Company Limited, one of the largest IT distributors in Thailand, said that the demand for cloud technology in Thailand is increasing rapidly from both public and private sectors. It is forecast that cloud spending in 2024 will be on par with on-premises spending and will likely surpass it in 2025.
Research and advisory firm Gartner reports that enterprise cloud spending in Thailand is set to reach USD 1.8 billion in 2024, up 30.1% from the previous year. In particular, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) cloud services will grow at the rate of 39.6% and will continue to expand by more than 40% annually over the next three years.

Introducing "Flex Cloud" for SMEs
Meanwhile, SiS Cloud has launched new Flex Cloud services, supported by high-performance hardware from HPE and software virtualization and cloud management from Virtuozzo. With these technologies, SiS Cloud will deliver high-performance, secure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud services at an affordable price for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Thailand. SiS targets to earn 230 million Baht from its cloud service business in 2025.
