Bangchak was recognized for its vision and tangible progress in advancing sustainable business practices. This includes clearly defined policies and strategies, consistent implementation, and measurable positive impacts across society, the environment, and the economy. The company also demonstrates transparency in sustainability disclosures aligned with global standards, earning international certifications and recognition for meeting rigorous sustainability criteria.

A key initiative that contributed to this recognition is Bangchak's leadership in establishing the Carbon Markets Club (CMC) in 2021, in collaboration with BCPG Public Company Limited and nine other partners. CMC aims to raise awareness of climate change and support the development of a voluntary carbon credit trading system in Thailand. Today, CMC has over 1,400 members nationwide, making it a significant force in Thailand's carbon market ecosystem.

On the same day, Dr. Vichshuwan Pungchareon, Head of Climate Solutions at BCPG, and Advisor to the Chair of CMC, joined a panel discussion at the Global Carbon Credit Market Development Forum held in the Macau Special Administrative Region, People's Republic of China. The forum served as a regional platform to promote collaboration on carbon market development across Asia-Pacific, and to explore efficient, transparent, and interconnected mechanisms for cross-border carbon credit trading.

The Climate Action Leader award underscores Bangchak's commitment to being a role model in the energy sector, leading the way toward a low-carbon society. The company continues to balance economic growth with environmental responsibility and social development, helping to shape a more sustainable future for all.
