Survey report revealed that 46% of consumers enjoy Salmon at home on Saturdays, inspiring the launch of the 'Salmon Saturday' campaign to encourage families and friends to make Salmon part of their weekend meals. A previous campaign, Norwegian Thai Taste, featuring Yaya - Urassaya Sperbund, boosted Norwegian seafood consumer awareness to 95% and reinforcing Thailand's demand for high-quality, healthy seafood. The 'Salmon Saturday' campaign collaborates with leading restaurants and retail partners nationwide to create a variety of Salmon dishes, accompanied by exclusive promotions for Salmon lovers throughout 2025. Special offers include Norwegian Smoked Salmon from Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Atlantic Salmon Confit from The St. Regis Bangkok, Salmon Ikura Don from Kamui Hokkaido Dining and Spicy Norwegian Salmon salad and poached Thai golden pare with champagne from RhAp Alternative Cuisine. In 2024, a report by Seafood from Norway revealed that Thai consumers, especially families, prefer to enjoy Salmon at home for dinner, particularly on weekends. The study found that 56% of Thai consumers have Salmon at home at least once a week, with Saturday being the most popular day to eat Salmon. Saturday stands out as the ultimate peak day for Salmon consumption, 46%, whether Thais are dining at home or eating out. Among those enjoying Salmon at home, 73% prefer having it for dinner. Additionally, Salmon is a popular dish for family meals (59%) and is often shared with partners or spouses (43%). Furthermore, 47% of consumers stated that having Salmon at home helps them feel relaxed and comfortable.
