The Healthier Choice logo program is a partnership of the Nutrition Association of Thailand Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the National Thai Food Committee, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Ministry of Public Health, and the Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University. The Healthier Choice logo is a symbol on packaging that indicates a food or beverage is certified to meet a strict criteria of nutrition standards that ensure they contain the proper amount of sugar, fat, and sodium. This certification means the products are a healthy choice, which helps consumers to make more informed decisions about their sugar, fat, and sodium intake.
Currently, Nestle is the food and beverage company that has the most products that have received this certification in Thailand, with 44 products certified with the Healthier Choice logo. (Based on information provided by the Healthier Choice logo project on October 1, 2018).
