Global environmental issues have gained widespread attention, sparked by the powerful voice of a young girl who spoke on the world stage, igniting global awareness and inspiring millions of young people to dream of expressing their hopes for the future through words. This movement closely reflects 51Talk's vision. Since 2019, 51Talk has played a key role in empowering Thai youth to strengthen their English communication skills through its online learning platform. Beyond the classroom, 51Talk has consistently organized extracurricular activities, particularly speech contests, to select young representatives to share their voices on global stages such as COP.
Mrs. Emily Li, General Manager of 51Talk Thailand, said, "At 51Talk, our mission is to support people in developing real-life communication skills, using English as a bridge to learn from and engage with the global community. In the past, students selected through our speech contests have demonstrated not only strong speaking skills but also remarkable creativity and confidence in sharing their visions for a better world. These qualities, cultivated through regular practice and natural talent, have made a lasting impression on audiences at international conferences."
Building on past successes, this year, 51Talk is hosting an English speech contest titled "Green Talk: Voice of Hope for a Greener Future on the UN Stage." The contest aims to select Thai youth aged 6-12 who can creatively raise awareness about global environmental issues through English public speaking. Under the evaluation of a distinguished panel of judges, the winner will earn the opportunity to speak at COP30 in Belem, Brazil, and will receive a certificate from both the United Nations and 51Talk. Interested participants can apply via the website https://uncop.51talk.com/th/ from now until July 7, 2025. For more information, please visit Facebook: 51Talk Thailand or LINE: @51talkthailand.
"We are proud to offer this meaningful opportunity for Thai youth to communicate in English on a global stage like COP30. Beyond improving language and critical thinking skills, it helps build confidence, fosters a strong sense of climate responsibility, and encourages active participation in shaping a more sustainable future. We warmly invite young participants to join us in empowering the next generation to use their English voices to inspire real change for a greener, better world," Emily concluded.
