Building on the success of previous years, the Visa Thailand Grand Sale 2025 replaces the manual redemption process with a convenient QR code system, allowing Visa cardholders to effortlessly redeem exclusive offers. The enhancement reflects Visa's ongoing commitment to improving the consumer journey through smarter and more intuitive digital payment solutions.
With the new QR scan redemption method, the system will randomly assign a coupon, which cardholders can then present to staff to receive the corresponding physical coupon. This innovation not only improves the user experience but also enables more accurate performance tracking, supporting better campaign optimisation.
Running from today until 31 August 2025, Visa cardholders can take advantage of exclusive discounts, gift cards, and dining vouchers across a wide network of participating merchants nationwide, including King Power, Central Department Store, Paragon, Emporium, EmQuartier, ICONSIAM, ONESIAM, Siam Premium Outlet, Jungceylon, Diana Department Store, and Odean Fashion Mall Hat Yai.
As Thailand remains a top global destination, cross-border inbound travel continues to be a major contributor to Thailand's payment volume. The top 10 source markets account for 53% of the total XB inbound PV, with key countries such as Singapore, Australia, Japan, Mainland China, and India playing a leading role.
In response to the growing cross-border tourism, particularly from Malaysia, the campaign expands its reach to include leading retail and lifestyle merchants in Hat Yai and Phuket. These two high-potential destinations now join the list of participating cities, offering more regional travellers the opportunity to enjoy exclusive privileges and promotions.
With the steady increase in Malaysian tourist arrivals, Malaysia has been recognized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand as one of the top source markets. This presents a valuable opportunity to promote the transition from cash to card-based payments.
Key offers included:
THB 500 discount with a minimum THB 8,000 spend at King Power (at Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport)
THB 500 gift card or dining voucher with minimum THB 7,000 spend at Central, Paragon, Emporium, EmQuartier, ICONSIAM, ONESIAM, and Siam Premium Outlet
