The J&T Forest project is part of the company's broader sustainability commitment, aimed at restoring green spaces over a 10-year period. The initiative is carried out in partnership with Royal Forest Department officials and local volunteers, involving systematic tree planting, firebreak construction, and forest maintenance to ensure healthy tree growth and meaningful contributions to ecosystem recovery.
Ms. Arthitaya Saengsan, Forest Academic Officer at the Royal Forest Department, stated:"The area was originally dry grassland with a high risk of wildfires during the dry season. However, since J&T Express Thailand began reforestation efforts—along with ongoing monitoring, restoration, and maintenance—the ecosystem has become significantly more fertile. The risk of wildfires has decreased, and signs of biodiversity recovery are starting to emerge. The newly planted trees require consistent care over more than 10 years to reach full maturity. In 2024 alone, over 2,000 trees were planted, and this year, an additional 300 trees have been replanted to restore the area. This reflects the company's genuine and long-term commitment to natural resource conservation."
The J&T Forest initiative reflects J&T Express Thailand's commitment to sustainable business practices across all dimensions—environmental, social, and governance (ESG). This is demonstrated through concrete actions to restore ecosystems, foster community collaboration, and support long-term natural resource conservation. Moreover, the project serves as a model for public-private sector cooperation, with a shared goal of preserving and nurturing Thailand's forests to ensure a thriving environment for future generations.
