The participating resorts—Centara Karon Resort Phuket, Centara Kata Resort Phuket, Centara Villas Phuket, and Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket—each contributed their talented chefs to the culinary effort. Alongside numerous local vendors, the teams collaborated to produce a total of 800 kilograms of Hokkien noodles, which were stir-fried collectively during the event. The resulting 508 bowls, each weighing 100 grams, were meticulously arranged to spell out the word "Phuket," creating a stunning visual display celebrating Phuket's vibrant culture.
This record-breaking attempt was organized by various local authorities and multiple stakeholders, with the goal of promoting Phuket's unique heritage and bringing its vibrant culture to a global audience. The event not only highlights Phuket's culinary excellence but also underscores the island's commitment to preserving and sharing its rich traditions.
"We are honored to be part of this meaningful event and to contribute to showcasing Phuket's cultural richness through this record-breaking culinary feat," said David Marten, Vice President Operations Centara Hotels & General Manager "This collaborative effort reflects the spirit of community and the importance of celebrating local heritage together."
The Phuket Peranakan Festival 2025 successfully drew attention to Phuket's cultural diversity, and the Guinness World Record attempt was a highlight that demonstrated the island's culinary artistry and community spirit.
