Mr. Anuwat Rungruangrattanagul, Chief Executive Officer and Senior Executive Vice President, Refinery and Operations, BSRC, together with Bangchak Group executives, welcomed Mr. Suriya Kittimonthon, Director of the Marine Department Region 6 Office, along with executives from the Chonburi Branch and the Vessel Traffic Control and Maritime Security Center. The delegation boarded a vessel to observe the berthing of MT Advantage Vital, the first VLCC to dock at Bangchak Sriracha Refinery via Multi-Buoy Mooring (MBM), following approval from the Marine Department for vessels up to 336 meters in length.
The MT Advantage Vital is one of the largest crude oil carriers and in this voyage, it delivered over 1 million barrels of crude oil. The successful launch of the VLCC berth represents a strategic advancement for Thailand's energy sector, and in particular for Bangchak Group, improving cost efficiency, reducing transportation costs for crude oil, and increasing flexibility in crude oil management. It aligns with Bangchak Group's strategy, "Accelerating Bangchak 100x: Pivoting toward Energy Security and Sustainability," which aims to strengthen energy security while driving sustainable growth. The facility enhances the operational synergy between Bangchak Phra Khanong and Bangchak Sriracha Refineries, and elevates competitiveness to international standards.
