TAT and KTC Join Forces in 'Travel Thailand, Heal the Heart & Love the Earth' to Drive Sustainable Tourism

Running throughout 2025, the campaign offers up to 45% discounts and up to 13% cashback redemption for KTC credit cardholders at more than 500 certified hotels and tourism operators across the country. All participating businesses have either received the 14th Thailand Tourism Awards or passed TAT's sustainable tourism self-assessment criteria.

TAT Targets Sustainable Tourism Growth

Mr. Nat Kruthasoot Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business at the Tourism Authority of Thailand, said the partnership supports TAT's long-term strategy to strengthen Thailand's tourism industry through stability, sustainability, and high-quality visitor experiences.

TAT is advancing its sustainability agenda through three flagship initiatives:

  • Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating (STAR) - with 1,251 participating hotels;
  • Carbon Foot print Hotels (CF-Hotels)— with 725 hotels adopting carbon-friendly practices; and
  • The Thailand Tourism Awards (Kinaree Awards) — recognizing 254 outstanding operators for quality, management, and sustainable business excellence.

"These initiatives elevate Thailand's tourism standards while ensuring competitiveness and long-term value for local communities and the environment," Mr. Nat said.

KTC Champions ESG and Local Economic Impact

Ms. Varitta Phatanarajta, Head of Credit Card Marketing Division at KTC, said the collaboration highlights KTC's strong commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

"This partnership connects environmentally certified tourism operators with value-driven travelers seeking authentic and responsible experiences," she said. "Beyond exclusive benefits for members, it helps channel income to local communities and supports a genuine circular economy."
