Ms. Anchalee Suwajittanon, Director-General of the Department of Sericulture and Acting Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Extension, stated that the partnership aims to strengthen the capacity of Thai farmers to manage logistics across the supply chain in a systematic and integrated manner. The initiative is designed to reduce transportation costs, enhance delivery speed, and preserve the freshness and safety of agricultural products throughout the delivery process. These improvements are expected to reinforce consumer confidence and encourage greater public support for Thai agricultural products.
Ms. Winni Li, Chief Marketing Officer of Global Jet Express (Thailand) Co., Ltd., emphasized that J&T Express Thailand remains firmly committed to supporting the agricultural sector, which serves as a fundamental pillar of the national economy. The company recognizes logistics as a critical enabler in expanding market access and business opportunities for farmers. Through this collaboration with the Department of Agricultural Extension, farmers will be better equipped to distribute their produce to consumers in a timely, secure, and cost-effective manner. This initiative is further reinforced by J&T Express Thailand's extensive nationwide service network and its specialized expertise in the transportation of agricultural products and fresh fruit, ensuring consistent delivery quality and operational efficiency.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Department of Agricultural Extension and J&T Express Thailand will jointly facilitate farmers' access to agricultural logistics services at preferential rates. Farmers who present their official farmer registration book at J&T Express service points will be entitled to a 10 percent discount on delivery fees. Additionally, farmers who register as VIP customers will receive the same delivery discount along with supplementary benefits, subject to jointly agreed terms and conditions.
Beyond logistics support, both organizations will collaborate on enhancing farmers' knowledge of appropriate packaging solutions tailored to agricultural products and transportation requirements. Measures will also be established to safeguard product integrity throughout the delivery process, particularly for fresh produce and fruit, thereby enabling consumers to purchase agricultural products directly from production sources with greater confidence, convenience, and safety.
The Department of Agricultural Extension encourages the public to actively support Thai farmers by choosing quality Thai agricultural products available through farmers and community enterprise distribution channels. An efficient and reliable logistics system will help connect the journey "from farm to table," stimulate domestic income circulation, strengthen the grassroots economy, and contribute to the long-term sustainable development of Thailand's agricultural sector.
