Today, NetEase Games unveiled a new look at gameplay for Sea of Remnants, and also announced the upcoming Closed Alpha Test on February 5th. Sea of Remnants is the ocean-fantasy open-world RPG developed by Joker Studio, launching PlayStation(R)5 and PC(Steam) in 2026.
In this game, players assume the role of a puppetfolk sailor adrift without memories, who must navigate treacherous seas, battle bizarre monsters, customize their fleet, and form bonds with over 300+ companions - all while shaping the ever-evolving pirate city of Orbtopia through impactful choices.

The trailer also reveals the upcoming launch of the "Wanderer Test", a small-scale Closed Alpha, which runs from February 5th to February 12th on PC. Players have from today until January 23 to apply for the test, by following the official Sea of Remnants X account and engaging with the trailer post or by joining the official Sea of Remnants Discord, and completing the application questionnaire. Questionnaires will also be available on platforms including Steam and Reddit. Spaces to participate in the test are extremely limited and Eligible Captains will be notified if they are selected to receive test access.
