PASAYA has decided to accelerate its zero carbon emission target to 2030 as it recognizes the growing urgency of the global environmental crisis. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the UN Environment Program (UNEP), the world is now in the "Critical Decade". Humanity must come together to cut global carbon emissions by nearly half before rising temperatures cross irreversible and dangerous thresholds—putting at risk not only humankind, but every form of life on our planet. With fewer than ten years remaining, this moment calls for bold and unified action.
The partnership for the greener planet between PASAYA and Haier Energy was announced at a press conference in the presence of top executives from both sides. Representatives of PASAYA were Mr. Schle Wood-Thanan, Managing Director of Satin Textiles Co. ,Ltd., and Mrs. Ratiya Chantian Managing Director of Textile Gallery Co., Ltd. Representing Haier Green Energy were its Deputy General Manager and Global Market General Manager Mr. Lei Chengwei, its Southeast Asia Market General Manager Mr. Wang Qijiang, and Mr. Qu Yun, Director of Qingdao Ririshun Yunhui Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd and Chairman of KTS International New Energy Trade and Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
PASAYA's Zero Emission factory, a significant milestone in Thailand's textile industry, seeks to drive all production processes toward 100% clean energy. The transition will be implemented through the installation of a 3.3 MW Solar Rooftop System and a 10 MWh Energy Storage System (ESS) to ensure energy stability and optimize power management during peak demand periods.
"PASAYA, an expert in weaving fabrics, is now weaving a sustainable future for our planet under the Mission for the World campaign. We are truly committed to making every production process eco-friendly at our green factory. Our decision to accelerate our Zero Carbon Emission target from 2035 to 2030 was made as a pledge that we will not wait for tomorrow. We are acting today to deliver a cleaner world for future generations," Mr. Schle Wood-Thanan said on behalf of PASAYA.
This big move tangibly reaffirms PASAYA's Mission for the World as the company is weaving Net Zero Emission into its operations for its business, communities, and a more sustainable planet in the way that resonates with Haier's policies and technology development concepts. Mr. Lei Chengwei, Deputy General Manager & Global Market General Manager of Haier Green Energy, said that:
"Haier is pleased to support PASAYA's vision with our clean-energy innovation. Not only does the installation of a large?scale Solar Rooftop system and an integrated ESS significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions but it also strengthens sustainability by enabling Thailand's industrial sector to achieve business growth while tangibly upholding environmental responsibility. Southeast Asia has an important role to play in global carbon reduction. Our collaboration with PASAYA highlights Thailand's potential to become a hub for green industries—serving as a model for other sectors across the region."
This remarkable campaign significantly demonstrates that the Thai textile industry can impressively transition into the Green Economy, with PASAYA envisioning that its Zero Emission factory will inspire other sectors to collectively and sustainably propel Thailand toward its Net Zero goal. Moreover, it forms a vital part of the effort to drive Thai industries toward balanced economic, social, and environmental growth.
