From a Weekend Market to a Creative Community

Founded in Singapore in 2011 by a group of friends who shared a love for shopping and design, Public Garden began as a weekend market featuring products from designer friends and independent shops. The inaugural event was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from both shoppers and participating brands, leading the organizers to continue hosting multiple editions each year.

Over the past 15 years, Public Garden has grown into one of Singapore's most anticipated creative markets, known for curating high-quality, well-designed and affordable products while providing an enjoyable shopping experience for visitors.

A key factor behind Public Garden's enduring popularity is its ability to attract artists, designers and independent brands from across Asia. Over the years, creators from countries including Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and beyond have used the event as a platform to showcase their bestselling products and latest collections. This diverse mix of creative talent has helped establish Public Garden as a destination for shoppers seeking unique finds and emerging design trends from around the region.

A Marketplace of Creativity

One of the biggest draws of Public Garden is the diversity of products visitors can discover under one roof. Rather than a conventional retail fair, the event brings together independent artists, designers and creative brands presenting thoughtfully crafted products that reflect their unique perspectives and creative identities.

Visitors can expect to browse a wide range of categories, including original artworks, illustrations, ceramics, stationery, fashion, accessories, jewelry, home decor, lifestyle goods and handcrafted products. Many exhibitors also introduce limited-edition collections, exclusive merchandise and new designs that are not widely available through traditional retail channels.

Beyond shopping, Public Garden offers an opportunity to meet the creators behind the products, learn about their creative processes and discover emerging talents from across Asia. The result is a vibrant and inspiring marketplace where creativity, craftsmanship and personal storytelling come together, creating an experience that appeals to both dedicated design enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

A Welcome Return to Bangkok

Thailand has long been an important part of the Public Garden community, with many Thai artists and brands participating regularly in the Singapore editions. Encouraged by the continued support from Thai creators and the strong interest shown by Thai shoppers, the organizers decided to bring the event to Bangkok for the first time in 2025. The debut edition which was also held at Samyan Mitrtown received an enthusiastic response, paving the way for this year's return.

This year's edition will feature a balanced mix of local and international exhibitors, with approximately half of the participating brands coming from Thailand. Thai vendors will accept PromptPay, while visitors planning to shop from international exhibitors are encouraged to bring cash.
