On 20 August, BSGF Company Limited (BSGF) and Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Company Limited (BFPL), Bangchak Group affiliates, signed a memorandum of understanding on used cooking oil management with the Sammacheep Foundation. The collaboration aims to reduce environmental impacts and promote consumer health by encouraging business operators and network partners to manage used cooking oil properly and efficiently through the No Refry and Fry to Fly initiatives and sell the collected oil to BSGF for SAF production. The agreement was signed by Mrs. Kandamas Kritayanukul, Director of BSGF; Mr. Atit Chinanthanasiri, General Director of BFPL; and Mr. Mongkol Leelatham, Executive Chairman of the Sammacheep Foundation. Mr. Suraporn Petchdee, General Manager of BSGF, and Mr. Kriengkrai Sinbuathong, Director of the Sammacheep Foundation, attended as witnesses at the Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery.
In addition, Bai Mai Pun Suk Foundation, established by Bangchak Group, organized a "Fry to Fly Station" workshop for teachers and students from four participating schools in Bangkok and surrounding provinces. The workshop covered global warming, the circular economy, efficient resource use, waste separation, healthy cooking oil consumption, and the management of Fry to Fly stations in schools.
Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, and a board member of the Bai Mai Pun Suk Foundation, welcomed the participants at M Tower, Bangchak Corporation's headquarters.
Since its launch in late 2024, the "Fry to Fly Station" network has expanded to more than 50 educational institutions across 12 provinces. The network has collected more than 10 tons of used cooking oil, which has already been channeled into SAF production, and plans to continue expanding its partnerships nationwide.
