In his address, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho emphasized the collective goal of advancing the university under the mission of "Wisdom for Community Empowerment" and the vision of becoming a "University to Create Wisdom for Sustainable Community Development with Innovations of International Standards" with a focus on Societal Well-Being. Four key strategic pillars were highlighted:
- Lifelong Learning Environment
- Social Innovation
- World Recognition
- Sustainable Development
The President extended heartfelt New Year wishes, saying: "On the occasion of the New Year 2025, may the Triple Gem, all sacred beings, Phra Phuttha Phuchakarak, and the royal grace of King Naresuan the Great bestow blessings of happiness, prosperity, good health, and enduring strength upon all administrators and staff of the University of Phayao, throughout the year and beyond."
More than 2,000 staff members from all university departments attended the Meeting of the Mind event. The event featured various collaborative activities, including food and beverage booths, a luk thung (Thai country music) singing competition with dancers, a costume contest, the UP Quiz, and a prize raffle sponsored by the university's administrators.
This annual gathering not only provides an opportunity to align the university's goals but also strengthens unity and camaraderie among its members as they work toward a shared vision of progress and societal well-being.
