This donation will fund the purchase of 40 AED pads, directly strengthening emergency response capabilities for cardiac arrest cases. Since the initiative began as a program of the Rotary Club of Patong Beach, four (4) lives have already been saved—a testament to the critical importance of timely intervention made possible by these supplies.

Phuket's EMS teams are critical to protecting both residents and over 8 million annual visitors, but they face serious challenges—from difficult terrain and traffic delays to limited resources and equipment shortages. This donation helps bridge a crucial gap by providing life-saving AED pads, enabling faster, more effective emergency response when every second counts.

This community-driven initiative was sparked by discussions at a Patong Rotary Club meeting, where the scale of the problem was first brought to light. Rotary has since contributed an additional THB 100,000, demonstrating the power of partnerships in creating meaningful impact.

"At Bumrungrad International Hospital Phuket, we believe timely, equitable emergency care should be available to everyone—residents and visitors alike. Caring for people is at the heart of everything we do," said Mr. David Boucher, CEO of Bumrungrad International Hospital Phuket. "We're proud to join hands with the Rotary Club and our community in this life-saving effort."

Bumrungrad Phuket is committed to becoming a trusted health partner for the region—delivering world-class care, strengthening emergency response systems, and improving long-term health outcomes for the people of Phuket and beyond.
